Cavite Governor Jesus Crispin Remulla told Inquirer that two buildings are ablaze after the big fire hit facilities of HTI. Meanwhile, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) director Charito Plaza clarified that HTI's sister company Scad Services owned the facilities.

Remulla added there's no people inside the building when the fire sparked.

Senator Richard Gordon tweeted that the Philippine Red Cross - National Headquarters (PRC NHQ) has dispatched two fire trucks, and two ambulance units from Cavite and Pasay Chapter.

The fire was declared "under control" at 11:49 p.m.

HTI is the same factory that was hit by fire on February 1 last year. The incident resulted in five fatalities who all died in hospital and not during the fire incident, reports said.
